IXGW-TGW stations offer a data plan that can either be used as the primary network connection to AiphoneCloud, or as a backup connection in the event that the local network goes down. There are three different data plans available, either 1, 2, and 5 GB. This chart shows which size is appropriate for different applications.

Cellular Data Plan

Typical use case:

Tenant Count when primarily using cellular data

1 GB

  • Telephone Entry
  • Cellular Backup – IXG Mobile App Data

0 – 50 Units

2 GB

  • Telephone Entry
  • Primary Connection – IXG Mobile Data

50 – 150 Units

5 GB

  • Telephone Entry
  • Primary Connection – IXG Mobile Data

150+ Units

These recommendations are based on typical data usage over a 1 month period. Actual data usage may vary based on call quantity, duration, and how often tenants monitor the door. Please contact technical support or your local sales rep to discuss the best plan for your project.

If a data plan is exhausted, additional data will automatically be purchased. See the attached IXGW-TGW SIM Billing Guide for more details.

Licenses for the AC Nio™ software can be purchased at https://aiphone.cloud in the section for AC Nio Licensing. There are multiple options depending on the size of the deployment, the terms of the license, and whether AC Nio will be hosted on a local PC or AiphoneCloud.

For local deployments, the licenses are defined by how many doors and cameras are supported, how many partitions the deployment can be divided into, what features are supported, and whether the license will last for 1 or 5 years.

If a term other than 1 or 5 years is needed for a local deployment, multiple licenses can be purchased and applied to reach the desired time frame. For example, for a 3-year period, purchase 3 1-year licenses.

When AC Nio is deployed as a cloud subscription, a license is required for each door, I/O expander(AC-IOE), and an elevator cab. Action Plans and expanded user count (10,000) are subscription add-ons. AC Nio cloud subscriptions are billed annually.

Remote Management is a service provided by AiphoneCloud. It allows users to program and manage an IX | IXG Series system from anywhere with an internet connection. Before getting started, a few things need to be taken care of.

  • An IXGW-GW or IXGW-TGW mobile app gateway is required to use Remote Management.
  • Connect all intercoms to the same network as the gateway. It is best to connect them to the same PoE switch for initial programming.
  • Make sure the gateway has an external network connection so it can access AiphoneCloud.
  • Make a note of the model and MAC address of each station to help with future steps.

Once the preliminary work is done, navigate to https://aiphone.cloud. Log in or create an account.

After logging in, navigate to Remote Management on the left-hand menu. If a new account was created, click Request Branch Membership. This will send an email to Aiphone, notifying the appropriate employees. Programming cannot progress until this request is completed.

If the account is part of a site, the Remote Management page will display the existing sites, if there are any. Either click Login to IXG Portal Account if there is an existing account for the user, or click Register Account to create a new one. Once that is done, click + Create New Site.

Fill out the necessary information, and click Continue.

Select whether the site is Commercial or Multi-Tenant. Commercial sites are used for single sites, since as an office or a campus where all calls go to a single location. Multi-tenant sites contain multiple suites that are isolated from each other.

Also select whether the IXGW-GW or IXGW-TGW is already connected to an existing site. Click Create Site.

This will complete initial setup for the site. Click Register Gateway to enter the programming wizard, which will guide the user through the rest of system setup.
